Frank Murphy Memorial Condolence Book

Always in our hearts. Mr Murphy will be sorely missed.

Mr Murphy was a trully remarkable man and an amazing teacher. For all of us lucky enough to have been taught by him, we will always cherish his empathy, witty remarks and warmness, never failing to give a second chance when deserved. Rest in peace Frank, you will be missed.

Thank you for being a constant inspiration and source of knowledge for so many generations of Runnymedians. You won’t ever be forgotten. May you rest in peace and your memory as a valued educator continue to spark joy and inspiration generations to come.

RIP Mr Murphy. So much more than our Physics (and on occasions reluctant substitute Maths) teacher... His life lessons were profound, impactful and unwaveringly true. 20 years after our graduation from Runnymede and I still often remember many of his catch phrases. What an extraordinary man. We will miss you.

I’m so very sad to see Mr. Murphy go. I still have engraved in my mind many teachings I learnt from him, even 16 years after my graduation from Runnymede. He is probably the best teacher I have had in all my academic life. He will be very missed and remembered.

Back in the early 90s I had the special experience of working alongside Frank, even being allowed to share the teaching of physics with him! I have never worked with a science teacher with such an in depth knowledge, passion for his subject, and ability to reach out to his beloved students. An exceptional teacher! Also, in those times he was the soul of Runnymede, his was the guiding hand on the till, with his wisdom and gentle Irish humour he touched the lives of countless students, teachers, and families.
