My heartfelt condolences to Mr Murphy’s family & friends. He was a great teacher & mentor to all students at Runnymede college; and he truly represented the pillars of everything Runnymede college stands for. He will be missed by all alumni of the Gehani family. RIP

As well as being the soul of Runnymede for so many decades, Mr Murphy was an exceptional pedagogue. Mr Murphy understood each of his students’ proclivities and always made space for them in his classrooms. I personally learnt to love science and think creatively, and patiently, about the possibilities of Physics and Maths. I will always take with me his poise and wit, and his clarity, and will hope to follow his footsteps in my own path as an educator. Mr Murphy will be sorely missed; his legacy at Runnymede, and all of the lives he touched at the school and beyond, is testament to a life well lived. Sending my deepest condolences
